Scratch-y Solar System

Today in class I created a solar system on a website called Scratch.

Creating my solar system was quite easy compared to others, we were given a slide presentation to create our own solar systems step by step.

First step is to go onto the Scratch site and create an account.

Second step is to make a remix of alexmay28's solar system (don't worry he's okay with it)

Third step is to customise your planets to your liking.

Fourth step is to create the orbit of your planets by coding! (When you are trying to create the orbit of your planets only change orbital radius or radius because the other codes change different codes like placement)

And the last or Fifth step is to publish your amazing creation to the world of Scratch!

Reflection: I think I did awesome on my solar system and I really love the way the planets orbit around the sun, the colours for the planets are almost identical to the real ones and I absolutely LOVE how I did my Jupiter. I think I didn't have to change anything to improve on my work because I already think that it's perfect in my eyes.

What's your favourite planet in our solar system?

Thank you for reading my blog post today.

  1. Mōrena Natalija. I love how happy you are with the solar system you made, it feels great when you're proud of something. I saw your class doing this so I am looking forward to seeing the end results. Maybe next time you could include a screenshot of what you have created so others could see. Ka pai to mahi.
