Make Your Name!

Today in class I participated in a challenge called the "Make your name" challenge.

Basically I had to take pictures of real life to correspond to the letters in my name.

Everyone was split up into pairs, I was with Zyah. We were given an iPad and decided to do Zyah's name first.

We took FOREVER! Trying to find an object that starts with Y, we ultimately chose a yellow boat.

After we finished Zyah's pictures, we did mine. When we were trying to find objects for my name to take a picture of we just kinda were messing around with it, Zyah said we could use her tights for T but I changed it to tree.

After we finished taking our pictures we went onto Pic collage on the iPad and made a collage with our photos to create our names, when I finished Zyah decided to change hers to look snazzier like mine and we took two pictures and two videos. I shared my pic collage to myself and started messing around with the camera settings on the iPad.

First we did the slow-mo and made ourselves look awesome, then we did a time lapse and the time lapse made us look like Sonic.

When we stopped messing around we finally put away the iPad and figured out we had to do a blog post several minutes after finishing, and that's how we're here.

I loved taking pictures and creating the pic collage, but trying to find objects for each individual letter was really hard. I really loved it though.

Have you ever made a pic collage before?

Thanks for reading my blog post.

I imagine it would have been a challenge finding an object to represent each letter of your name. I would not have thought of 'laces' for the 'l' in your name. Presenting it in Pic Collage is a great way to 'snazz' it up. Do you think this would be a suitable task for Y2/3 students?
